Purpose and possible applications
The versatile, free-standing device, designed to unwind and feed cables, electrical or optical wires or other similar materials, delivered on wooden or plastic drums, to a cutting machine or other receiver. It is designed for installation in cable cutting line and for use with any cutting machine.
The device is equipped with an arm-type cable buffering system and thus provides a stable, adjustable tension of cable being fed to the cutting machine. Construction and pronciple of opperation A column-type structure, welded, powder coated in RAL 7044. The unwinding drive unit is composed of an induction motor, connected directly with the operating shaft, by means of a mechanical clutch. Torque is transferred to the cable reel via a quick-acting lock that couples the shaft with the drum. The motor is controlled by an electronic controller with overload protection, by means of a sensor system located on the movable arm of buffering system, whose position determines the speed of the drive motor. The proper tension of the cable is ensured by pneumatic power actuator controlled by the pressure reducing valve. The control unit of the device provides an opportunity to program the dynamics of start and stop of rotational motion. The applied electrical overload protection devices, simple and stable mechanical structure, powder coatings and high quality workmanship ensure long-term use in production conditions.
